MINDEN, NEVADA, 29 July 1999 - International marketing and consulting company Frost and Sullivan, as part of a recently released 1998 market study, awarded Bently Nevada Corporation the 1998 Market Engineering Leadership Award. The award is based on Frost and Sullivan's test and measurement's research and consulting work in this industry in 1998. Bently Nevada was selected following an in-depth analysis of the market competitors and interviews with many of the companies that make up the U.S. vibration condition monitoring equipment industry. The Frost and Sullivan award recognizes companies that have worked hard to make a positive contribution, and that exhibit world-class leadership in the industry. Bently Nevada won top ranking in the industry because of its strategy and actions in the marketplace. With the award, Frost and Sullivan noted that, "Bently Nevada is the clear leader, in terms of revenues and market share, of the U.S. vibration condition monitoring market." The report concluded that Bently Nevada "has made it extremely difficult for other companies to obtain any significant share of the market. Additionally, Bently has widespread name recognition, which in addition to its quality products and marketing strategies, has pushed the company to the top."
