MINDEN, NEVADA, 7 January 2000 - Bently Nevada's new 3300 NSV™ (Narrow Sideview) probe and extension cable are primarily designed to measure radial vibration or thrust on smaller machines where the counterbore, sideview, rearview, or target size limits the use of Bently Nevada's standard 3300 XL 8 mm or 3300 5 mm transducer systems. Enhanced features include:
  • ClickLoc™ connectors, which help eliminate intermittent connections between the probe and extension cable
  • Increased chemical robustness, allowing it to be used in many turbine and process gas compressor applications
  • Pressure sealing capabilities between the probe tip and the back of the probe case
  • Stainless steel armor welded directly to the probe case for increased pull strength
  • Innovative, color-coded identification, to prevent mismatches between probes, cables, and Proximitor® sensors
The 3300 NSV™ probe and extension cable directly replace the existing 3300 RAM (Robust Air Machine) probe and extension cable, and they incorporate numerous important improvements in physical robustness and performance over their RAM predecessors. While the new NSV™ probes and extension cables look slightly different than the RAM predecessors, they are 100% compatible with existing 3300 RAM probes, 3300 RAM extension cables, 3300 RAM Proximitor® Sensors, and 990/991 transmitters.

With the addition of the 3300 NSV™ probe and extension cable, Bently Nevada now offers the narrow sideview characteristics of our older .190 tip probes and more recent RAM probes, but in a significantly improved version, better able to withstand harsh physical and chemical environments.
