MINDEN, NEVADA, 9 August 2001 - Bently Nevada today announced the release of an additional lab interface for its Bently LUBE™ lubrication data management software. The software is now able to support the Intertek Testing Services (ITS) Caleb Brett laboratories based in Aberdeen, Scotland. ITS is a world leader providing independent assessment of crude oil, petroleum products and chemicals, and agricultural products. The request for development of the interface was in direct response to a Bently Nevada customer in the U.K. who wanted to use Bently LUBE™ to track analysis data for machinery on a North Sea oil platform and required compatibility with ITS report formats. "Our software team immediately contacted the ITS lab and worked with them to quickly develop the data import interface," says Bently Nevada Project Manager Dave Whitefield. "This was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how quickly an interface can be developed for a customer when working with a cooperative lab." Proactive lubrication condition monitoring continues to gain acceptance as a significant factor in improved machinery reliability. Analysis data must be effectively tracked and managed for such a lubrication management program to be successful.
